I can totally understand that. It is similiar to a situation when you overhear someone criticizing your parents, or your siblings.
More often, fans always tell themselves that they have no preferences among their favourite artists'/bands' musics. Whatever they sing/write, fans love it anyway.
However, I do believe, in fact, everyone has his/her preference to a certain kind of songs. To me, even though I love Spitz very much, I have preference among their songs.
In spite of that, I begin to like some of the Spitz songs that I didn't use to like.
In their album "Hachimitsu", there is a song called "Kimi to kurasetara" that I've never paid much attention to. Recently I found, actually, this is a very sweet song. It has great melody, lyrics and arrangement. When you listen to it carefully, you will also find this is not an easy song to sing. It has a pretty large key range. In my opinion, Spitz has a lot of this kind of songs which are very sweet and simple but easily overlooked (or overlistened) by people. (Of course, this never happens to their fans.)
If
you've never thought that this is one of your favourites, please listen
to it again.
