Spitz is my most favourite band recently. (Although I don't know how long it will last....) (^^;)
Even though I was a big fan of Glay when I was in Japan, I was listening to Spitz's songs more often than any others during the exchange to Japan.
I didn't know about Spitz until I went to Japan. In fact, everytime I listen to one of their songs "Cherry", it reminds me the life in Hiroshima. I was living in a dormitory at that time, and every Sunday morning someone in the dorm played Spitz's music. I don't know who played the music but that person never forgot to play "Cherry". At first, I was not very happy, since it woke me up. Later, instead of hating this song, I started looking for this song's single. Mr. J is a big fan of Spitz too. Seriously, this song is very special to me.
Masamune Kusano is the leader of Spitz. He is definitely an important member in the band, since he is the vocalist and he writes most of the songs. In my opinion, Kusano san is a person with a lot of imaginations, and he can express his imaginations in lyrics and melodies without problems. He writes about everything, including love, death, sex, loneliness, insects, food, fish....etc. Their music is their own world. When you hear their songs, you are in the world of Spitz, or in the world of Masamune.
